Accounting is a necessary part of your business, but you don’t have to do it all yourself. I have nearly 30 years of accounting experience. While I love accounting and making things reconcile, I completely understand that I am not the norm. And just because you are an amazing general contractor or photographer or web designer who’s been brave enough to start your own business, that does not mean you love accounting, too. I could never build my own website. That’s why I hire professionals to do it for me. This allows you to do what you love. I do what I love. Then we’re both happy at the end of the day.

When it comes to taxes, my goal is to take everyone’s least favorite task each year and make it as simple and easy as possible. We’re not just a firm that will crank out a tax return and wait to see you again next year. Years of experience have taught me the ins and outs of taxes and shown me some great strategies for tax savings and planning. If you are making money, then you are going to owe taxes – that’s all there is to it. But let’s try to take advantage of every tax strategy available, that keeps as much money in your pocket as possible.

It’s not my goal to make you love accounting and taxes. It is my goal to make doing your accounting and taxes a pleasurable experience that you don’t mind doing because you have the confidence that you can get the information you need and understand it, too.

Fun fact about me, l’ve known since I was in the 6th grade that I wanted to be an accountant and have done it ever since – weird, I know! I’m married to my favorite person in the world, David, for nearly 28 years. We have 2 sons – Nathan, 22, and Will, 20, both living their best lives in Texas.
